In the shadow of the expanding Sahara, The End of the Road takes us to M’Hamid El Ghizlane, a remote Moroccan village grappling with desertification and water scarcity. Against this backdrop, the film delves into the intertwined challenges of environmental degradation and cultural preservation.
At the heart of the story is Halim Sbai, an environmental activist fighting to protect the oasis and its fragile ecosystem while striving to maintain the centuries-old traditions of his community. Alongside Halim, we meet Khalil, a young man torn between the modern world and the ancestral heritage of M’Hamid.
